Harry is a Biddeford native, attending local schools and graduating from Biddeford High School. He attended Towson State University, in Maryland, graduating with a degree in Political Science. He earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 1987. Harry has been admitted to practice before all courts in the state, as well as before the United States District Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
For 17 years Harry practiced with a large law firm, focusing on the areas of general litigation, including civil, criminal and family law. In 1992 Harry was appointed City Solicitor for the City of Biddeford, and served in that capacity for the next 12 years, through four administrations, handling nearly all legal matters involving the city, including matters before the State Legislature, the Maine Labor Relations Board, the State Board of Property Tax Review, and the U.S. District Court, defending the city on civil rights claims and First Amendment cable television issues.
In June 2004, Harry accepted a position as a Senior Trial Attorney with OneBeacon Insurance Company. As a Senior Trial Attorney, Harry handled the defense of OneBeacon insureds on all matters, including wrongful death claims and suits with exposure in the millions of dollars. Harry joined our firm on January 1, 2008, when OneBeacon closed its staff counsel office in Maine. Harry continues to represent OneBeacon insureds and concentrates his practice on civil litigation, personal injury, criminal defense and municipal law.
