Peter is a 1963 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and a 1973 graduate of the Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University, after commissioned service in the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C. the Far East, Europe and Vietnam. Peter is a member of the American, Maine and York County Bar Associations and several other professional associations. He has served the Maine Board of Bar Overseers, Fee Arbitration Commission, as Panel Chairman, and has presented at Maine Bar Association seminars on the subject of shareholder disputes. Peter has served the community of the Kennebunks on local municipal boards, as Director of The Kennebunk River Club, Arundel Yacht Club, Foundations of Literacy Reading and Language Clinic, and Kennebunk Animal Shelter, as incorporator of River Tree Arts, and as Trustee of South Church and Church on the Cape. Peter is a founding member of Woodman Edmands Danylik Austin Smith & Jacques.
