Honoring a Legacy: Woodman Edmands team joins the John C. Duranceau Memorial Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament to celebrate the life and memory of a beloved Biddeford native.
On Friday, September 19, 2025, Woodman Edmands supported the John C. Duranceau Memorial Scholarship Fund by participating in the annual golf tournament held at Biddeford Saco Country Club. John Duranceu was a well-known Biddeford native, who passed away suddenly in 2010 at the age of 48. He left a wife and two teenage children at the time along with several siblings. His family initiated a scholarship in his memory and as a true testament to John, the scholarship has continued to grow, and the annual tournament sells out with teams on wait lists. Participating were John’s lifelong friend, managing partner Harry Center, along with Tony Serpico, Wayne Pike, and Tim Stebbins, who also were friends with John.
Tees, Birdies, and Bar Bonds: Woodman Edmands Swings into the York Bar Golf Tournament
Team Woodman Edmands hit the links at the annual York Bar Association Golf Tournament, held at Dutch Elm Golf Course in Arundel. Representing the firm were managing partner Harry Center and firm administrator Celeste Cloutier—our resident golf enthusiasts—teamed up with Woodman Edmands alumni Mike O’Toole (retired) and Amy McNally (Assistant Corporation Counsel, City of Portland).
With a mix of big drives, sharp putts, and just enough birdies to keep things interesting, the crew had plenty of laughs and camaraderie on the course. While the scoreboard placed them comfortably in the middle of the pack, the afternoon was a clear win for team spirit and tradition.
Woodman Edmands enjoyed a rainy Seadogs game, thanks to Old Republic Title Insurance Company.
